Lion

Scripture Passage: 1 Peter 5:8-9

A lion roars to frighten an animal so it will jump out of its hiding place and then he can chase it to kill it. Just so does Satan try to frighten us so we will stop trusting God and abiding in Jesus. Then, when we are open to his attack, he tries to separate us from God. That is why we need to pray and read God's word every day so we will grow strong in our faith. We need to encourage each other in the Lord since we are all in danger from the devil.  Let us be alert and faithful to Jesus.

Questions:
1. Why does the lion roar?
He does it to frighten his prey.
2. Why is Satan like a roaring lion?
He tries to frighten us so we will stop trusting in Jesus.
3. How can we be safe from Satan?
We should hear God's word and pray every day so we will be
strong in our faith.

Memory verse: 2 Thessalonians. 3:3
But the Lord is faithful; he will make you strong and guard you from the evil one. (NLT)
