Scripture Passage: Matthew 3:13-15

After we have received Jesus as our Saviour, we need to be baptized. Being baptized shows to the world that we have been cleansed of our sins. It is a witness to our friends and relatives that we are going to live a new life. We will no longer serve Satan but will live for Jesus. It shows that we are dead to our old life and alive to a new one.

Questions:
1. For what reason did Jesus ask John to baptise Him?
To fulfil all righteousness.
2. What happened after Jesus was baptised?
Heaven opened and the Spirit descended like a dove and rested on Jesus.
3. What did God say about Jesus?
"This is My Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased".
