The Woman at the Well

Scripture Passage: John 4:7-14

The woman understood Jesus in a natural way, but Jesus was talking about the Holy Spirit whom He gives to believers. She wondered how Jesus could get this living water and where He could get it. Whoever drinks the water Jesus gives will never thirst again. The Holy Spirit will fill the believer to overflowing. Jesus knew her secret and He knows every secret about us.

Questions:
1. What did Jesus ask the Samaritan woman?
He asked her for a drink of water.
2. Why was the Samaritan woman surprised when Jesus spoke to her?
Because a Jew does not speak with a Samaritan.
3. What did Jesus say would be the result of drinking the water He offers?
She would never thirst again, meaning she would have tasted the

spiritual water of life.
