Mouse

Scripture Passage: James 3:5

A mouse is a very small animal, but the damage it can do if it gets into our storage bin is great. James says that although the tongue is a small part of our body, it can cause a great amount of harm. Our words can be very hurtful and can spoil our relationships with people. Before we speak, we need to think of the effect our words will have on the other person. God is listening to us and is our final judge.

Questions:
1. Why do we want to keep mice out of storage bins?
They eat the grain and leave their dirt in it.
2. How is our tongue like a mouse?
It is small but can do a lot of damage.
3. When we say bad things to people, what happens?
We hurt them and spoil our relationship.

Memory verse: Matthew 12:36
And I tell you this, that you must give an account on judgment day of every idle word you speak.  (NLT)
