Market

Scripture: Acts 17:16-23

Paul preached the gospel in many different countries around the Mediterranean Sea. He went wherever there were people gathered and talked to the crowds and to individuals whenever anyone would listen. In this scripture, he went to the market, which was held in the city of Athens. While people were buying and selling, he was telling them about Jesus, the Son of God. We too should take advantage of every opportunity to tell what Jesus has done for us.

Questions:
1. Why was Paul greatly distressed?
To see that the city of Athens was full of idols.
2. Where did Paul speak to the people?
In the synagogue to the Jews and God-fearing Greeks, and
in the market place to anyone who happened to be there.

3. What did Paul preach about?
Paul was preaching the good news about Jesus and the
resurrection.

Memory verse: Acts 8:4
But the believers who had fled Jerusalem went everywhere preaching the Good News about Jesus. (NLT)
