Laodicea

Scripture Passage: Revelation 3:15-16

The city of Laodicea was very rich and was well known for its banking, medical school and textile industry. Its major weakness was a lack of an adequate water supply. The church members supplied neither healing for the spiritually sick nor refreshment for the spiritually weary. God is saying they are lukewarm, neither hot or cold and they should repent.

Questions:
1. What was the problem with the church members of Laodicea?
They were neither hot nor cold - lukewarm.
2. What did God prefer from the church members?
For them to be either hot or cold, in other words to be very interested in God's work or not at all.
3. What kind of members are in your church?

Memory verse: Revelation. 3:19
I am the one who corrects and disciplines everyone I love. Be diligent and turn from your indifference. (NLT)
