Jesus Heals a Boy with an Evil Spirit

Scripture Passage: Luke 9:37-45

Jesus showed His power over evil when He healed this boy.  Jesus looks for faith in the lives of His disciples. He is disappointed when His followers do not have faith in Him. Jesus is powerful over evil spirits. Sometimes His disciples were powerless to help other people. Jesus wants to see faith in Him as the Son of God. He was unhappy when the disciples did not understand who He really was. He began to teach them about His coming death. The disciples were unable to understand Him. He must have felt lonely at times like these. He understands our loneliness.

Questions:
1. Why was Jesus disappointed with His disciples?
Because of their lack of faith.
2. How did Jesus heal the boy?
He rebuked the evil spirit and healed the boy.
3. What were the people all amazed at?
The greatness of God.
