Head Pad

Scripture Passage: Matthew 27:27-31

Instead of a cloth to protect His head, they put a crown of thorns on Jesus. The soldiers didn't just set the thorns on His head, but hit Him on top of them to drive them into His scalp. All this pain He endured for our sins so God would forgive us. His blood was shed for us. Hebrews 9: 22 tells is that sins are forgiven only when blood is poured out. Jesus' blood is like a protection on our heads so the wrath of God will not strike us for our sins.

Questions:

A crown of thorns.
2. Why did Jesus endure all this pain?
So that God would forgive us for our sins.

Memory verse: Romans 5:9
And since we have been made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God's judgment. (NLT)
