Eye Medicine

Scripture Passage: Revelation 3:17-20

Jesus is talking to the people in Laodicea. They were Christians but were satisfied with just being saved. They did not see that others were lost without hearing the Gospel. They were not doing anything to help anyone. In Matthew 6:19-20, Jesus said that the good we do for others puts treasure in Heaven for us. We need His eye medicine so we will see the needs of others. Let us not be satisfied with just our own salvation, but seek to have our neighbours know Jesus too.

Questions:
1. Why was Jesus not pleased with the Laodicean church?
They were satisfied with just being saved.
2. How do we get treasure in Heaven?
We get it by helping others.
3. What is the greatest help we can give them?
We can tell them about Jesus.

Memory verse: Hebrews 3:12
Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. (NLT)
