Dog

Scripture Passage: Ecclesiastes 9:4-5

King Solomon praises the advantages which the living have above those who are dead. While there is life there is hope. While we are alive we can meet with our friends and family and do our work. If a man is doing bad things yet while there is life there is hope that by God's grace there will be a change for a better way of life. Therefore a living dog is better than a dead lion. The poorest beggar who is alive has the comfort of this world, but the richest chief, when dead, is completely useless. So let those of us who are living make sure that we know the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour. When we are dead it will be too late.

Questions:
1. What do living people have that the dead do not have?
Hope.
2. What do living people know will happen to them?
They will die.
3. What do these verses teach us?
To prepare to meet God.

Memory verse: Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (NLT)
