Scripture Passage: John 19:28-30

This shows us the human suffering of Jesus on the cross. He was very thirsty. So they gave Him vinegar on a sponge to drink. But we also see the triumph of Jesus when He said "It is finished". For Jesus the fight was over and won even on the cross. He knew the joy of victory. He finished His work and knew He had done a faithful job. When we suffer can we too still be victorious Christians?

Questions:
1. What did they put on the sponge?
Vinegar.
2. Did Jesus do a faithful job even in His suffering?
Yes.
3. How can we become victorious Christians in suffering?
By living close to Jesus every day.
