Building Blocks

Scripture Passage: 1 Peter 2:4-6

Many buildings now are built from cement blocks, baked clay bricks, wood or mud. In Jesus' time, important buildings, like temples, were built of stones. We usually think of the "church" as being the building where we meet to worship God. But it is really the people who are the church. We are the church that God is building, person by person.

Questions:
1. What did they use for building in Jesus' time?
They used stones.
2. What is a church made of?
It is made of people who have accepted Christ as Saviour.
3. Who builds the church?
It is God who builds the church.

Memory verse: 1 Corinthians 3:16
Don't you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you? (NLT)
