Museum of the Alphabets
The Alphabet Makers provides a graphic overview of something we tend to take for granted: the importance of alphabets. It also tells of the people who made them and reminds us that the process of making them is not yet complete. There are still many languages without a writing system. This site presents several tours of the museum from different perspectives: the museum galleries, significant people in the development of writing systems, and samples of a variety of scripts from around the world.

International Museum of Cultures
The International Museum of Cultures is the only cultural institution of its kind in Texas. It is a unique museum focusing upon contemporary peoples and challenges of currently existing communities in remote locations of the world. Through exhibits, educational programs and public events, it celebrates peoples of diverse cultures in an effort to promote greater appreciation and understanding of cultural differences found both in isolated areas of the world and in our own community.
