Beware of AIDS

Scripture Passage: Colossians 3:5

At the time Paul wrote the letter to the Colossians, AIDS was not yet discovered. We know that it is a sexually transmitted disease. Many young people have died of it in recent years. Many more are going to die within the next five to ten years. So we need to ask the Lord to keep us pure in all our lives. Those of us who are married will enjoy a happy marriage if we stay faithful to one another. God Himself blesses the union. If we are unfaithful to one another the sorrow is long and the regret is for a lifetime.

Questions:
1. Why do you think that Paul warns so much about sexual sin?
Because it hurts people, takes us away from God, brings unhappiness and we could get AIDS and other diseases.
2. What are practical ways to avoid bad company?
Read your Bible, pray every day and stay with Christian friends.
3. How does God want us to live?
To live a pure life.

Memory verse: 1 Thessalonians 4:3
God wants you to be holy, so you should keep clear of all sexual sin. (NLT)
