Scripture Passage: Matthew 1:18-21

The birth of Jesus was very special because He was born of Mary who was a virgin. The most important event in the history of the world was that God sent his Son in the form of a baby. This child would be called "Jesus", which means "God saves". When He grew up, His mission was to give His life to save people from their sins.

Memory verse: John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. (NLT)
